The Friends of the Yellowstone Gateway Museum invite the public to a free book release event, celebrating the publication of “Photo History of Gardiner, Jardine, and Crevasse,” an updated reprint by the Wan-I-Gan Press, Friends of the Yellowstone Gateway Museum, of the 1968 book by Bill and Doris Whithorn. Friday, August 12, 4-6 PM, Gardiner Chamber of Commerce. Refreshments are served.
This reprint of the original book has larger, clearer photographs, additional 2016 photos, and revised text. The museum is grateful to many local residents who helped update the book. Books will also be available for any retailers who would like to purchase books.
Pub glasses with Northern Pacific Railway Yellowstone Park Line logo and Yellowstone Trail hats will also be available for purchase during the event—good souvenirs.
The book and selected prints from the book will also be available during the Livingston Art Walk on Friday, August 19 at Rob Park’s Flying Squirrel Gallery.
The book and many other Whithorn titles are available at the Yellowstone Gateway Museum, 118 W.
