Museum Closed on Sundays
The Yellowstone Gateway Museum in Livingston will not be open on Sundays as previously advertised due to illness. Through September, the museum remains open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Beginning in October, the museum is open Thursday through Saturday. For more information, call 222-4184.
Museum Reopens Vink Blacksmith Shop
The Yellowstone Gateway Museum has recently reopened the Vink Blacksmith Shop after volunteers repaired the roof and the forge, organized the blacksmith tools and parts, and laid a new wood floor. June 6/7: Montana Spring Knap-In Weekend
The 3rd Annual Montana Spring Knap-In is slated for the weekend of June 6 and 7 at the Yellowstone Gateway Museum in Livingston. Skilled artisans demonstrate flint knapping and other primitive crafts on the museum’s lawn under tents. The event is from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday and 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Museum Announces Summer Hours
The Yellowstone Gateway Museum, 118 W. Chinook St., Livingston, announces its summer hours: open 7 days/week from 10 AM to 5 PM, effective immediately. Through September, in addition to indoor exhibits, a temporary local art show, “Exploring Yellowstone through Art,” as well as one-room schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, caboose, and historic vehicles, are on display. 222-4184.
