Make the Museum a Meaningful Part of Your Learning Experience

Staff and education volunteers can customize your group’s museum experience, based on your curriculum needs or topics of interest. See the “Permanent Exhibits” and the “Temporary/Travelling Exhibits” pages for general ideas and special children’s activities. Outdoor exhibits, open seasonally, are particularly popular with children.

The interactive Museum Explorer’s Journal
may also be used for youth of reading age to either work on independently or in groups. If your group consists of multiple ages, pairing an older child or parent with a younger child also works well.

Youth who are 18 years and younger are always free at the museum. A minimum of one hour is suggested to tour the museum with or without a guide. Museum tours and special programs are available year-round, by appointment.
